On Thursday, 5th October 14 members of the Bridford & Teign Valley Garden Club visited Fast Rabbit Farm, Strawberry Valley near Dartmouth. The 43 acres of gardens, including an area of woodland, are landscaped over a hillside and carved into a steep valley, are extensively planted with acid loving plants, including over 65 magnolia trees, camellias and Rhododendrons, plus ornamental trees and springtime daffodils and bluebells. The lake and several ponds abound with dragon and damselflies. There is a nursery selling a wide range of plants, which our members took advantage of after their cream teas.
