Peter Cantrill of Dayspring Plants gave the last indoor presentation of the Garden Club winter season to a packed audience in the Bowden Room. Peter had brought with him about 50 different examples of Perennial plants, describing each, their flowering habit/time and preferred position/soil type. Several were new varieties just coming into the market. It was a very interesting talk, much appreciated by the membership. The usual tea and biscuit at the end of the talk was postponed by everyone as they rushed to buy the plants that had taken their fancy, but normal service resumed once purchases were secured.
